      As far as we know, there is nothing like SAI anywhere in the United States except in St. Paul, MN. We have several options for expanding the scope of SAI:
  1. Institutional partnerships between interested elementary schools and SAI, including such options as school support of and encouragement for students attending summer sessions of SAI, teacher attendance at the summer "SAI for Teachers" course, teacher use of SAI principles and materials in their classrooms on a periodic basis, and/or in-class direct-instruction combined with simultaneous in-class staff-development by SAI trainers. All of this can be done while keeping whatever curriculum a school is currently using.
  2. SAI branch sessions in the Twin Cities metropolitan area for qualified individuals interested in conducting SAI in outlying areas of the Twin Cities; we are specifically interested in expanding SAI to the "corners" of the metro area - the NE (Anoka-Blaine) area, the SW (Eden Prairie) area, the NE (Stillwater-White Bear Lake) area, the SE (South Washington County) area, and the south metro (Lakeville/Eagan) area.
  3. SAI branch sessions on a nationwide basis, with training and materials for qualified individuals interested in operating SAI in their own vicinity.

For parties intested in SAI, the prime qualifications would be:
• for schools: faculty interest in  - and administrative support of - broadening, deepening, and elevating elementary math instruction;
• for teachers: a knowledge and love of math, a love of teaching, and a love of working with kids.

Please contact us by email or at our ground mail address and provide:
    • your name (and your school, if relevant);
    • your address; and
    • your teaching experience.
